After the Rain, I just wanted to...
In the rain, I sat, looking down,
"Look out, I hear the train," you'd say,
And I stood to remember how you always made me look up.
I stared at you, and you looked back at me, At all the times we sat on this track.
After the rain, I just wanted to tell you:
If they don't have what you want, don't listen to what they say.
Their words are echoes of their own fears,
Not a reflection of your worth or your way.
Your dreams are yours, and yours alone to claim,
So don't let their doubts dampen your flame.
If they don't have what you want, don't listen to their game.
There's no greater waste of time than justifying your actions
To people who have a life you don't want.
They'll never see your vision,
Their minds are too narrow, their hearts too blunt.
So walk your own path with courage and grace,
And don't let anyone hold you back.
Your dreams are worth fighting for,
Even if they don't understand your track.
Everyone has fears, it's part of being human,
But courage is simply when light has covered the darkness in mirth.
So pray for the strength to keep moving forward,
And know that your dreams are drawing life.
Don't let anyone tell you what's possible,
Or what you can and cannot achieve.
You are the master of your own vessel,
And you have the power to believe.
So After the rain, I just wanted to tell you, I miss you.
